Happy with ground grading rules?

Recommended Posts

Instead of all the silly money teams have to spend on these ridiculous ground grading rules, wouldnt it be better to spend it on decent pitch preperation (which is not cheap)?

whats the point of all these pretty little stands and concrete walkways to satisfy the egos of the blazer brigade when there is no game to watch because the pitches arent adequate enough to stand a drop of rain?

let teams improve their grounds as and when they can afford it and use any spare money on keeping pitches playable imo

the current rules for step 5 should start at step 3.......floodlights, railing and hardstanding should suffice for step 5

Granted, and if they want to lose match revenue that is their problem........at least the clubs that want to , could!

The whole of football needs to be shaken up

Hornchurch will get fined £500-2000 for our floodlights not working last Tuesday despite the council getting in contractors to fix them, who in turn couldn't fix them till Wednesday and the club were not informed.Yet yesterday 30 fans swept the pitch clear of rain but the local referee called the game off because Hastings had to travel by 11 and at that time we had only done half a pitch,we would of had it done well before, especially as it was dry from about 1pm

Why is it true football supporters speak a lot of common sense but as soon as it reaches the powers to be that's where the debate ends.

Would Urchins have been happy to pay Hastings' travel costs, and the refs' fees if the match ref decided not to permit the game to go ahead?

thats another crap rule!

and even worse is the one where a 'local' ref says game is ok to go ahead then match ref decides its not,,,,,,why bother with early inspections!?
