Internet Explorer 6 - end of support for this browser

On August 27, 2001 when the world was still using Windows 3.1 and XP had not been introduced, Microsoft launched Internet Explorer 6.

 

Since then, they have released IE7, IE8 and now IE9 with IE10 recently announced. Internet Explorer 6 is no longer support by Microsoft and is very insecure.

 

Here at Non League UK we have tried our best to support older browsers, but with the planned enhancements to the site this week, we can no longer support IE6 and present our site and the content in it at it's best.

 

You can upgrade Internet Explorer on Microsoft's site at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie/home. Alternative browsers include Google's Chrome at http://www.google.com/chrome and Firefox at http://www.getfirefox.net as well as Opera and Apple's Safari.

 

We appreciate that many government departments still run IE6, but we are improving our mobile (iPhone, Android & Blackberry) skins and ipad skins as well, and these may well be a better option for you if your work computer is stuck in the last decade.

 

We apologise for any inconvenience but have tried our best to support old browsers, but have to move forward.
