Secondly, I note suggestions are wanted regarding a name for our covered terrace. I'll go two better. May I suggest "The Tea Bar Stand" for the seated stand nearest, er, the tea bar, "The Tangerine Terrace" for the covered standing area (I prefer our old nickname of The Ash Trees, but "Tangerine Terrace" sounds catchier) and the main seated stand should be renamed "The Alan Constable Stand". We have two giants at the club and, if the ground's named after one, I think the other deserves a mention as well. Thirdly, you'll get some peace and quiet on Saturday as I'm off elsewhere. It's my groundhopping mate's birthday and we're off to Midland Combination Division One side Cadbury Athletic, who are groundsharing next season as they can't get lights at their home ground in Bournvillle, which is recognised in groundhopping circles as 'football porn'. http://www.pyramidpassion.co.uk/html/cadbury_athletic.html (PS - disregard the notes on this website, they moved back some years later.) Finally, I intend travelling straight from work to Northwood next Tuesday, and I'd be very grateful if anyone could give me a lift home (for petrol money) in the vicinity of Ashford.
