littlehampton Posted October 1, 2014 Share Posted October 1, 2014 This was a quite amazing cup-tie and neither team deserved to lose in a penalty shoot-out. It was a heart-breaking way to go out of the FA Cup, but Brad and our players can be enormously proud of their performance and contribution in this thrilling, unforgettable contest, which those present will remember about for many years to come. Over the two matches there was little to choose between the two sides. Town played last night with plenty of purpose and conviction against their Conference South opponents and could, perhaps should, have won. Everyone will have there own ideas on why we didn't, but we showed plenty of character and quality in this match, and clear signs that Brad is sorting things out and we are definitely improving. Credit to Eastbourne on their win and best of luck in the next round. It was nice to see their team and our supporters applauding each other at the end of an epic contest.
