FF News
Vanarama Conference club Forest Green Rovers` left-back Chris Stokes has joined Sky Bet League One side Coventry City on a month`s loan deal. The defender has been training with the Sky Blues for the past couple of weeks having been given permission by the club to trial with the former Premier League side. He had earlier spent time training with Yeovil Town and is now in line to be named in the Coventry squad that travels to Sheffield United this afternoon. The emergence of Marcus Kelly at left-back has seen Stokes forced out of the Rovers` first-team picture in recent weeks and he will now spend a month in the Midlands. The England C international, who joined the club after a lengthy spell with Bolton Wanderers in his youth, has made over 120 league appearances at The New Lawn. He links up with former Forest Green boss David Hockaday, who was recently appointed to the coaching staff at Coventry.
