Darren was an England u21 international, and played over 550 Football League and Premier League games, starting at Leyton Orient. His carrer also took him to Oxford U, Birmingham, West Brom, Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Yeovil, Plymouth, and Port Vale, before signing for Chesham United 14 months ago. He captained Cardiff and was in their FA Cup Final squad, and while at Birmingham he appeared in the 2001 League Cup Final against Liverpool, scoring one of the penalties in the shoot-out. "We're really pleased to get Darren," enthused Forster, "His experience in our defence will be a welcome asset".
