Leatherhead's Nnamani counting scratches from Akinfenwa battle

Jerry Nnamani has revealed that playing against Adebayo Akinfenwa was like being in Fifty Shades of Grey!

The Beast is regarded as one of the strongest players in the game, with Leatherhead defender Nnamani even pointing to the fact that he is rated as 99 out of 100 for strength on console game FIFA 18.

But after the Tanners were beaten 3-1 by Akinfenwa's Wycombe Wanderers side in the FA Cup second round on Sunday, big defender Nnamani likened playing against the Beast to being a character in the bestselling erotic novel.

The defender explains all: "It was a good battle [with Akinfenwa], he was quite complimentary afterwards, he said I was the strongest player he had played against.

"He's scratched me everywhere though, I've got scratches all over my body, it's like 50 Shades of Grey!

"I like the physical battle and that's what he does best, I enjoyed testing myself against someone like that, he's 99 strength on FIFA!"

Nnamani paid tribute to the 1,100 Tanners fans who made the journey, and has called on them to keep coming to Fetcham Grove now.

"I couldn't believe how many supporters were here," he admitted. "It was crazy turning round and seeing the whole stand in green!"
