I think this is a more up to date photo with the dug outs now on the stand side of the pitch at Pancake Lane:

A team sheet from Leverstock Green v Brache Sparta in a 2002/03 SSML Division One fixture, at Pancake Lane on Saturday 11 Janauary 2003. Leverstock Green won 2-1 and were promoted that season despite only finishing fourth, 21 points behind Champions Pitstone & Ivinghoe who were unable to gain promotion as were Tring Athletic, Mick Vipond's men went up with Harpenden Town and have remained in the Premier Division ever since:

Another newsletter from Leverstock Green for May including an excellent article by SSML Official Mark Mellor which will be of interest to PetetheGreek, some might remember Mark having a heart attack during a SSML Premier Division fixture in March 2006:

Savagebee - Yes, that's a turn up for the books isn't it, Leverstock Green never like to dispense with a Manager's services as they are such a nice Club. I didn't think that Matt Harding was doing such a bad job and of course he had Mick Vipond as his trusted 'lieutenant', what more could he ask for.

Despite Matt Harding's surprise departure from Pancake Lane this week it should still be an interesting visit to Broadwater this afternoon (22 May) to take on Berkhamsted in an end of season friendly fixture. I think Berkhamsted are being a little optimistic though if they are expecting an attendance of 650:

Berkhamsted FC are delighted to welcome supporters back to Broadwater to watch the first team on Saturday 22nd May

It is an end-of-season friendly against local rivals Leverstock Green. The match will kick off at 3pm and the clubhouse bar will be open from 12 noon. Admission to the game will be £5 for adults, with concessions £3 and under 16s free with an adult or £1 unaccompanied. The match-day programme is £1.50. The turnstile and tea bar are cash only, but card payments are taken in the clubhouse (including for admission).

Current government regulations will allow both indoor and outdoor table service from the bar, but indoors still requires tables of six or two households with adherence to social distancing and rules on face coverings – though no substantial meals are required! The club will monitor government and FA announcements ahead of the game to make sure we're compliant on the day.

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to the entire local community, and it would be great to see as many supporters as possible, old and new, to watch the Comrades in action for the final time in season 2020/21. The FA have provided us with details of increased attendance limits, and for this game we’re allowed up to 650 fans – we’re confident all will be able to watch the game, but please allow a bit of extra time on arrival for track and trace.

Do keep an eye on our social media for news on our exciting plans for next season, including the new kit & merchandising partnership with O'Neills and our pre-season fixture schedule. We look forward to welcoming you all to Broadwater.

YouTube highlights, and match report, from Staines Town v Leverstock Green in a 2014/15 FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie, at Staines Town on Saturday 27 September 2014. Then Conference South Staines Town unsurprisingly won 5-0 and halted Leverstock Green's impressive run where they had beaten Newport Pagnell Town, Harefield United  and Biggleswade United under supremo Dene Gardner:

I see the attendance at Broadwater for the recent post season friendly with Leverstock Green was 265:

Match Report: Berkhamsted FC (The Comrades) 7 - 3 Leverstock Green : 1st team (pitchero.com)

Season ends with friendly at Berko – Leverstock Green F.C. (levgreenfc.co.uk)

265 people turned out to watch a game of football at Broadwater on Saturday, a friendly against our friends from Leverstock Green FC. Those people saw a very entertaining game of football with 10 goals scored, the Comrades scoring 7 of them. We thank the spectators, who were from all age groups, for their support. We hope you enjoyed your time with us and will come back for more next season. Watch this space for updates through the summer.

The latest newsletter from Leverstock Green for June, also I see that the Club are advertising the vacancy for First Team Manager however I thought Mick Vipond had been handed the role on a silver platter:

The evergreen Fergus Moore was today appointed First Team Manager at Leverstock Green.

He is joined by the equally evergreen Scott McGleish and Paul Marks as Assistant Manager and Coach respectively.

Excellent appointments all round, and an entertaining season ahead for the Trees.

I wonder what GRS67 has to say about the appointment:

GRS67 - Leverstock Green must have seen something in Fergus Moore to appoint him ahead of 21 other candidates for the job and I hope it won't come back to bite them, Fergus, Scott McGleish and Paul Marks will come in like a whirlwind and change things beyond all recognition bringing in many of the players that were at Edgware Town before Fergus left without seeing what they already have at their disposal at Pancake Lane. Had the Club appointed Mick Vipond little or nothing would have changed and it would still be the Leverstock Green we all know and love, perhaps Mick wasn't interested in staying on after Matt Harding was unceremoniously shown the door.

GRS67 - Just to say that Leverstock Green are featured on Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon, I wonder whether Ollie will be interviewing Fergus Moore following his recent appointment at Pancake Lane:

I listened to the interview, all I can say is it's a great cure for insomnia?

GRS67 - I wonder what the Leverstock Green hierarchy thought when listening to it, Fergus is not exactly an Eddie Howe for example is he when interviewed which makes it surprising why the Club said they were so impressed with him at the interview stage for the job.

Fergus tactics are from the dark ages he even admitted he's a dinosaur!

Savagebee - You would say that though wouldn't you as Fergus started his career at Griffin Park in 1989 before moving onto Yeading in 1991 and then Uxbridge in 1992, you must have watched him play regularly.

Don't remember but I remember seeing him play for Bedfont Town FC and Hanwell Town FC. I've just always rated him as a Non League Football man through and through that's all.

AKA Journeyman who hasn't won anything of any note in a long long long career both as player and Manager

GRS67 - I thought this was a bit odd on the Wealdstone Twitter page, why on earth is Fergus promoting their season tickets:
