Savagebee - GRS67 doesn't seem to agree with that statement but, as you say, it will be a rollercoaster ride and here are all the Club's fixtures for the new campaign:

What on earth happened at Bovingdon last night (Tuesday 20 July) with Fergus Moore's men going down 2-1 to the SSML Division Two outfit. All the goals came in the second period with Bovingdon taking the lead immediately after the break however it was 1-1 shortly afterwards with Leverstock Green fully expected to go on to win at a canter, instead however it was Bovingdon who got the winning goal on 73 minutes due to poor defending in the penalty area following a free kick:

Following another pre-season friendly defeat on Saturday (24 July), albeit at the hands of Step Four side Hanwell Town, Fergus Moore's men managed a 3-1 win at Aston Clinton last night (pictured) however not before the hosts had taken a 21 minute lead and still lead at the interval. It was not until just before the hour mark that Leverstock Green drew level through Ollie Lawford and, with the clock ticking down, not until 81 minutes when they managed to forge ahead through Mikkel James who netted again in stoppage time, much to Fergus Moore's relief:

Do we know why Leverstock Green's scheduled and final pre-season friendly fixture at Wembley was called off this afternoon leaving the Club with no warm up game ahead of their all important SSML Premier Division pipe-opener against Baldock Town at Pancake Lane on Tuesday evening:

Yes because at late notice Wembley wanted to move the game from their lovely grass pitch to 3G citing weather conditions which quite rightly we were not going to risk injuries on just 3 days before the season starts.

Had a great in house training and game on our pitch instead with team bonding beers and pizza after!

Fergus Moore will no doubt be feeling disappointed today having exited the prestigious Football Association Challenge Cup yesterday afternoon at the very first hurdle to Essex Senior League outfit Stanway Rovers at their wet Hawthorns base near Colchester. Had Leverstock Green made the most of some early pressure it might well have been a different story, indeed Fergus's men had the lions share of the first period however a number of good scoring opportunites were disappointingly wasted. The hosts found their second wind after the break and, unlike during the first half, started to infiltrate the visitors penalty area on a regular basis, it was perhaps no surprise that on 72 minutes they made the all important breakthrough when young custodian Alfie Bonfield failed to hold onto a cross in the wet conditions and his unfortunate error was severely punished. It's disappointing for the Club, particularly financially, as Enfield FC would have been the visitors to Pancake Lane in the Preliminary Road of the competition in two weeks time:
