Division Two
Eynesbury United 3 Berkhamsted Raiders 1

Eynesbury United's match report:

Spartan South Midlands League Division 2
Eynesbury United (2) 3 Berkhamstead Raiders (0) 1 (Fox 2, Jennings)
United finally got back to winning ways with a hard fought victory over a very good Raiders team. In a game that ebbed and flowed both sides put on some good entertainment in blustery conditions.
United started with tempo and put pressure on the Raiders defence from the kick off, and it was not long before Sole had the first effort of the afternoon but his shot was saved. On 12 minutes United won a corner and Shane Fox was on hand to head home to end the Bulls mini goal drought.
United continued to press and further efforts from Brown and Piesse could have doubled the lead, however United had to wait until mid way through the half before the second came. A great through ball found Fox clear through with the keeper to beat, but the keeper saved well but unfortunately for him the ball fell back to Fox who tucked home to score his second. United continued on the front foot for the rest of the half and went in worthy leaders at half time.
The second half though was a different matter with Raiders taking more of a hold in the game and it was not long before they reduced the score to 2-1 with a well worked goal. This stirred United back into action but they found the Raiders youngsters more resolute than they were previously and both possession and chances were becoming a premium fo the Bulls.
Another good attack by the Raiders saw Jeckells having to save smartly, but United weathered the storm and started to get back on top with Flack and Dixon getting joy down the flanks. The final minutes saw McLean go for a fifty fifty with the Raiders keeper who regretfully came off the worse, but thankfully after treatment carried on, but his inability to move properly led to United getting the deciding goal.
The Raiders defender seemed to forget that his keeper was injured, and returned an ill advised back pass to him, the keepers kick was weak and Shaun Flack made the most with a great cross which was met by Adam Jennings at the far post to score with a powerful header. Game finally won, but boy it was hard work.
The SSML Div 2 are blessed with some good young teams with MKCFA and Raiders and it is good to see young lads playing the right way, the future is bright if those players can step up to the next level however a good three points (much needed). Now on to Old Bradwell next Saturday, not much riding on that is there.

Premier Division
Harefield United v Crawley Green

Having seen both recently I wouldn't be so sure of that. CG are devastating on the break. Mind you the Hares were missing Louis Bircham when we beat them and I think he's back from injury now, he's a dangerous player. If I was a betting man I'd go score draw.

View from the Boundary - You were spot on looking at the highlights from Preston Park, Crawley Green just can't seem to finish the numerous opportunities they create:

Isn't the late Winslow United goal celebration a little over the top:
