Tuesday 18 April
Division Two
Tring Corinthians AFC 0 Totternhoe 3

A groundhopper from another Forum was in attendance, an interesting comment about fading light and, as a result, no added time was played, what if the game had been close towards the end:

Icknield Way, Tring Corinthians 0 Totternhoe 3
Spartan South Midlands Division 2
Adm. £3, Prog. NO, Tea £1.40

After a very pleasant afternoon in Berkhamsted and a visit to the Mad Squirrel Tap, I made my way to Tring. The absence of anything I hadn't covered on my previous two visits meant I headed straight to the ground located next to fields on Icknield Way.
£3 was requested at the gate for those spectating and refreshments were available behind the door in the building to the left of the car park. Was also pleasantly surprised to see a small covered stand in one corner.
The Referee deafened a few of the away team with his whistle after they failed to get out of the dressing room promptly and we kicked off at 1834.
A close match initially but Totternhoe seemed the stronger side and scored three.
Half time was brief as the light was fading and the Referee blew the final whistle at 2010, without adding any of the expected minutes on, as it was rather gloomy by then.
The walk back to Tring station included the now familiar and we'll trodden path through the trees down station road in the dark once more.
