Just to confirm that Leverstock Green's Hertfordshire FA Senior Challenge Cup First Round tie at Hitchin Town goes ahead as planned this evening as Hitchin Town surprisingly lost their FA Cup Third Qualifying Round tie on Saturday, 1-0 to Kettering Town at Top Field. It's strange that match tickets appear to have to be purchased in advance, does that mean fans who are unaware of that, or groundhoppers, will be unceremoniously turned away at the gate at Top Field, what has the beautiful game come to, even at our level:

A turn up for the books in that Boreham Wood have surprisingly pulled out of the competition giving Colney Heath a clear passage through to the Quarter Final where they will travel to Vauxhall Road to take on Hemel Hempstead Town. Should Tring Athletic defeat Watford in their lucrative pre-Christmas Second Round tie on Tuesday 19 December they will travel to old SSML foes Hertford Town or National League North Bishop's Stortford.

Yes, good luck to Tring Athletic on Tuesday 19 December who deservedly pulled the rabbit out of the hat following their excellent First Round win at Hadley last month:

May be an image of american football, football and text that says "TRING ATHLETIC ATHLETIC HERTS SENIOR TIFC FOOTBALL CLUB COUNTY CUP- 19/12/23 TAFC vs WATFORD FC TUESDAY 19TH DECEMBER KICK OFF 19:45PM WATFORD 山 HERTS SENIOR CUP Hertfordshire FA ENTRY: ADULTS £9, CONCESSIONS (16,17,+65) £5, UNDER 16 FREE"
