A groundhopper from another Forum was at Ostlers Lane:

Spartan South Midlands League Division 2
Stony Stratford Town 2-3 New Bradwell St Peter
Attendance 78 h/c, Admission £3 - No Programme
Entertaining game once the goals started to flow. It took a 40th minute penalty for the high flying visitors to break the deadlock and they added a second just before half time. Hosts came out a different team with much more purpose at the start of the second half pulling an early goal back and deservedly levelling on the hour looking a much better side than their 4th bottom position might suggest. The visitors did eventually find their groove again and a spell of pressure culminated in them finding a winner with 5 minutes remaining, a header from a right wing cross. A few hoppers in attendance.
This is Stony Stratford's first season back in the Spartan South Midlands League after a few years in the North Bucks & District League and good to see the team from the town that invented (or should that be made up) the Cock and Bull story on its way back. Step 6 football has been played at Ostlers Lane in the past but a bit of work is needed on and off the pitch to get back there. Ground has lights and a nice little covered terrace on the far side decked in the club colours of light and dark blue adorned with their badge. From here, what looks like an old school building with a chapel in the corner to the right overlooks a junior pitch behind the goal and I'd imagine provides a lovely backdrop in daylight. On the down side the changing room pavilion is a good 150 yards away, as is the walk from the car park, past a cricket square and another full sized football pitch with dugouts. I'm told there are plans for new changing rooms behind one of the goals which should help them to meet Step 6 criteria.
