Can we stop this Doom & Gloom nonsense I’ve been following the Rebels for 40 years and I really remember the bad times when the Thorne’s didn’t get what they wanted from the council and soon took off with there money and left us on the verge of being extinct, so losing a few players is no big deal. As long as the club is safe and secure then I’m happy, also everyone has to trust Scott’s judgement on players and recruitment. COYR

It’s not nonsense just because you don’t agree! Obviously you’re fine with the vast majority of last seasons squad gone and so far replaced with untried step 3/4 players. Maybe you’re not that bothered what division we play in but for me I want us to be competitive at the top end.

It's not all down to SD judgement it's also about budget Just because we've had worse times doesn't make relegation any easier

If Gilbert is going full time to a bigger club for more money and a better chance of promotion, it wouldn't make any difference if we have a competitive or much larger budget it wouldn't have stopped him going.

?  So clearly we do not have a competitive budget at this level considering Gilbert came from the league below and hasn't stayed with us

TBH due to the sheer volume turnover of players I'd take survival now.

Changing 4 or 5 players would be an acceptable norm but only keeping 1 or 2 players from a starting 11 is just bonkers.

Russ, Gilbert is going full time so it doesn't matter if we have a competitive or an even bigger budget he will be earning far in excess of what we could afford.

Posting on social media, whether that's on this forum, x or facebook doesn't stop because it's not the football season.

It's a choice supporters make because it's a way of communicating during the close season.

Just like it's your choice to read the forum but hardly ever to post.

Whatever you say, post or speculate on here or elsewhere is going to make bugger all difference

to the workings of the club, only a small percentage of our fans post on here anyway

I'm sure supporters realize that but it's a way of expressing and sharing views and opinions and hopefully getting some answers and feed back from the club rather than letting rumors fester and multiply.

Those ‘EDS’ players are now first team players so I’d include them in their correct positions in your list.

So maybe another 5 players giving a squad of 20 with a couple out on loan/dual reg.

Are there any experienced, commanding central defenders to replace Baylis, Beedon, Pruti and Hollis from last season?

So, presumably we could be nearly done then:-

1. sign or loan a goalkeeper

2. sign Spasov & Ogbonna (or sign replacements for them if they are moving on)

Nearly done?

I'd say we need a keeper, 2 CB's, at least another striker and one or 2 wide players/wingers.

If Slavi and Oggy stay, which I doubt, that will solve one striker and one wide forward.

I've put the EDS players separate because it's more than likely some of them will go out on duel reg.

Exactly.

At the moment we've only got Scott and Ojemen who's main position is left back.

2 experienced CB's needed.
