YOUTH FOOTBALL RETURNS TO BTFC

An e mail sent to Steve Kent from the commitee of Billericay Youth FC

 

"I am delighted to confirm that the General Committee of Billericay Youth FC unanimously agreed at it's monthly meeting held on Thursday 4 March 2004, in favour of accepting the invitation of Billericay Town FC to form the Youth Section at the Club.

 

An official letter of confirmation from our Club Secretary, Richard Hollis has been posted to you".

 

This is good news for the club as it continues to work for the community and provide facilities for youth football in the Town.

To have a youth section at the club is good news.

 

It's the way forward, once it gets going, it allows us yet another option to find new players.

 

The more options we have, the stronger the squad

 

Youth that have come through the ranks give loyalty and commitment... and lets face it some of these kids will run all day.

 

OK, we have to balance with experience...but its got to better than a journey-man who just wants the cash.

There must be loads of talent in and around the town and this is the perfect way to discover it, nuture it and bring it into the team.

Great move especially with the youth FC being based at GP with all the factiles at GP its not unfeasible for the youth team becoming the top youth team in the county. Will provide good hungry youngsters for the first team and maybe even some who go onto play for league clubs making the club some money in the process.
