Praise Where Praise Is Due

I take it from the comments made by Simon that the addmission fee has been frozen for another season?

If this is true (and I hope it is) then, we have to be thankful to Rod Moore. Now I know some of us have our differences and that some may say that the proposed move is part of a Rod Moore Master Plan but keeping the prices down is very welcome and not only in the interests of the supporters but also the club.

And condider this. The Canvey Forum has just informed that the Canvey season for 1 adult and 1 child is £250. Southend is £180. Thank God we are not part of the money grabbing sect that trades on their success by fleecing the grass root supporter. May Canvey and Jeff King have truely rubbish season just on the back of that peice of unwarranted rip off!!!

I for one would like to say thanks to Rod and the club taking the right decision.

Now lets get the footie right next season, Plllleeeeeeeasssssseeee.

Anyone else like to contribute?

The full break down of ticket prices, including season tickets can be found at http://www.billericaytownfc.co.uk/features/tickets.html

For the price of watching Canvey, you can watch Billericay AND have a pint!!! Can't be bad.....

I think that this will be the 4th season that the prices have been £7 for adults so fair play to the club for freezing them

 • 2 weeks later...

using the adult n child scenario.. paying at the gate its a tenner at canvey or 11 quid at ricky . to sit would run you to 12 pounds at canvey but at billerciay that would be sixteen pounds..(unless there are other seats than those in the main stand)..i believe u 12's at riccay can get in if they join the junior bears whatever it is the 1 pound concession for accompanied juniors at canvey runs up to 16 yrs of age.... im not saying canvey is cheaper because for adults not bringing kids and unaccompanied juniors it plainly isnt.. but in the father and son scenario it is.. just thought i'd point this out.. now wether canvey is better value? well we could debate that all year

as i said a few posts up.. for single adult fans or single concessions canvey is more expensive.. but it has to be acknowledged that for parent child combo, canvey is cheaper than riccay and a lot of other clubs in the league...as to lining pockets, well for the last few seasons its been jeff king sugar daddy throwing money at canvey... now its jeff king money grabber taking it all out, one or the other please, lets have some consistency here

The parent and child combo is cheaper at New Lodge as long as your child is a member of the Town Juniors, who pay a £1 membership fee and watch all league games free of charge as long as they are with a paying adult. Total cost if you take advantage of this is £7 and 4.5pence a game. Even your OAP's are paying £3 more than Billericay. Your club has made a packet over the last few seasons. Would've been nice if some of that was passed on to it's own supporters, or maybe not?

A high %age of teenage (post TJ, pre full rate) Billericay fans take advantage of the reduced price season tickets for ex TJs which sees them pay £15 for the first year and £40 thereafter this season.

Adult and Junior at Canvey = £250

Adult and Junior at BTFC = £220

Adult and ex TJ at BTFC = £180/155

Plus the fact that the floodlights are more reliable at Billericay than at Park Lane, last time I was there as soon as Gravesend went 2-0 up out went the lights..... draw your own conclusions! It also took an eternity getting in, how on earth that ground can be deemed fit for Conference football is beyond me, though as it turned out it was rather irrelvant!

Gosh, isn't this confusing?

I come onto a Billericay discussion board and all they seem to talk about is Canvey Island. I'm new to all this internet stuff (but I'm loving it) so can you explain why it's always Canvey that's the centre of attention. I understand it was pretty much the same last season.

Is it because you all admire them so much. I know you are not always complimentary, but you don't mention many other clubs in your various jottings, only Canvey Island.

I find the lads at Canvey quite cute. Don't know too much about you Billericay boys but your team didn't do too well last year, did they? I must look out for your results. But I won't come to Basildon to see you. Far too rough.

CANV,

I think the consistancy is down to Jeff King. Yes, he did fund the club but now he wants to fleece the club. It is him that changed and the supporters that have noticed.

Now why don't you be a really good boy and come to Billericay Town next season 'cos there will be no bugger down at Park Lane.
