You have all been so luvvy duvvy to each other over the first few months of the season and now Abbey have won round one, the Townies are moaning. Listen, you have no divine right to win anything just because you are well supported. We went down that road in our formative ESL years. It only gets people's backs up. And just for good measure, Romford won 6-0 today! Oh happy days are here again, ad nauseum.

After today coup, Abbey won't win many friends after the abuse i got when getting into the car to come home.

We are moaning at the behaviour of their supporters.

 

We are not moaning at the result.

 

I accept that they were better than us.

 

I accept that they are top of the league, and well clear.

 

I do NOT accept that this entitles the Abbey fans to start threatening and abusing our supporters as we leave.

 

Should make the return to Goldsdown more tasty, eh.

 

Expect a frosty reception before and after - and then see who's moaning after the game.

I predict that the League Fixtures Secretary will make Town vs Abbey return the last game of the season if Town are within reach if not it doesn't matter when it is held cos the gate will then be poor as there will be nothing riding on it!

Even were it to be the last game of the season, I don't think Abbey would be particularly keen to encourage them to become travelling supporters. Not a credit to any ESL side!
