Is Daish full time

As I said on another post, I can understand why some fans are not to chuffed with this appointment. The ultimate aim of the club must be to go full time if they do want to progress. So it is crucial that the manager is full time to start with and hopefully some players can be recruited to full time status soon. We need to build gradually and you have to admire the financial prudence of the board in one way, but in another realise that to attain the goal of League football then some risks will have to be taken along the way.

Can't understand your boards thinking, kinnear was a perfect replacement his record speaks for itself and is a local !!!! but good luck to you all , Daish does have good contacts and was a leader when playing.

Can anyone corroborate this? Also, how long does his contract run for?

Personally, I feel both part-time and full-time have their benefits. A full-time manager would of course be part of the way for the whole team to go full-time (although obviously this is some way off). On the other hand, the club appointing a full-time manager is quite a commitment, given that Liam is new to the club and we can't be sure yet how things will pan out.

The other point is that being an ex-Premiership player, he might be happy to work 'full-time' for what would be seen as a 'part-time' wage in the Conference (even though to the rest of us it would be a perfectly acceptable full-time wage) as he might not need pots of cash.

Fair point, he may already be 'well wedged up' and the money is not a priority to him... just hope he's not using us for management experience, though if he gets us into the league, I won't mind being used and abused (ooooerrr) for building his CV..

C'mon you Fleet..!!

New Manager, New Songs..!! Let's hear em'... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" />

But did Kinnear apply? According to the Reporter today, none of the list of applicants they printed (two issues ago I think) actually applied for the job.

Anyway, there would have been complaints whoever the new manager was (except Mourinho...). I say we trust the board's appointment and pass judgement when we've seen the guy in action (but not against Carlisle because, let's face it, if we lose, it won't be the manager's fault).
