First MFA Boss of Season To Go

Few managers resign after leading their team to a championship and then winning their opening game at a higher level 7-0! However, that's exactly what Grosvenor Park boss Andy Biddle has done.

 

Biddle led Grosvenor Park to the Midland Combination title last season and promotion to the Midland Alliance and then kicked off in style with a stunning seven-goal success over Wednesfield on the opening day of the new campaign. They are currently riding high with 2 wins and 1 draw from their first 3 games.

 

But the popular former Sutton Coldfield Town and Paget Rangers winger insisted he needed a rest after 20 years' non-stop involvement with non-League football.

 

Grosvenor Park chairman John O'Hara admitted Biddle's decision came as a shock. "Andy will remain a member of this club and I only hope he will reconsider one day and get back on board with us."

 

O'Hara has acted quickly to cover the loss and has come to an arrangement with groundshare tenants Continental Star, where their manager Lincoln Moses moved across to take charge.

 

O'Hara said he was prepared to wait and see how things worked out before deciding whether to make the move more permanent.
