If you think about it, it's not good at all from a travel point of view.

 

With the three up and three down we were certain to get two southerly based teams coming up, the Ryman would be very local and the southern would only be as far north as Birmingham.

 

Now we are always going to get two northern based teams instead of the one we used to get. The net effect of this change will be to increase our travelling rather than decrease it.

 

Our only hope is that more Northern teams get relegated than southern teams and that we pick up an advantage from the teams relegated from League Two.

Dave, im sure the travelling will be increased. There will be more matches. I like that point.

 

We will still get two from the south though, from the conf south. Thats pretty well as was.

 

One extra team from the north over all each season.

 

Cant see much difference.

 

Perhaps all four relagated teams in the new division will be northern, then the travelling gets reduced and teams swap around in the lower league.
