When ever I come visiting hear I read a lot of comments that the Southern league forum is dull and very very quiet is this true ?

Cant wait, lots of new grounds to visit this season, although Wivenhoe away on the first Tuesday evening is a bit of a downer, that will be a bit of a struggle to get there after work.

I believe so all the same haunts. lost a few players to Hornchurch, but then who hasn't ? We have a got a A.G.M. tomorrow so we will see what if any surprises the club have for us tomorrow.. Have a good season.

Wivenhoe in August is Brill.

 

With high water around 10 am and 11 pm. We will be able to sail up the Colne to settle later on the mud and then go to the match and come back to anchor in Pyefleet Creek.

 

Now if we win that seems to be a perfect day.

If we are to get to Wivenhoe on time it seems that we will have to leave very early in the morning. I will do the calculations this week as I will be sailing in the Medway with tidal atlases etc available.

 

A start at around 2:00 am would get us to Wivenhoe in time for the game and the trip would only take around 5 and half hours.

 

A start at around 5:00 am would mean that the trip would take around 12 hours as we would be punching the tide most of the way and the Colne will have shallow bits which will make navigation difficult.

 

If anyone wants to join in there will be space for 2 people.

Do you know that sounds perfect steph would love a bit of that, I was on a clipper goin down Southampton water & into the solent this time last year, its not that far but it took nearly four hours to reach the needles off the Isle Of Wight!

Enjoyed every second of it, talk about getting away from it all!
