Missed the game last night,only managed to get ther after the final whistle. Speaking to people,they said they played well but never looked like scoring, they had the look of a team in the throws of buildlng.Sounds familier.Was hoping to give you a full report but work came 1st.

I saw the match and to boys did well first 20 min of each half then fell away , but not bad for a side thats only been together les than 6 months

Is there a concern that even if you do find some decent players at U-18 level they won't be given a chance at Margate in the first team and drift away?

Yes, there is no natural step at the moment bettween u18 and the 1st team as the reserves will not be formed until next season.If a U18 player stands out,then i am sure CK will give him a chance to prove his worth. Although with the level of player the manager is aiming to bring in those chances could be thin on the ground. Its the same old egg,If you think /know your good enough,go and tell him,knock on his door.
