Bit of a pick and mix - Nathan the only member of the starting XI v Worhting to get a game, Wozza played CB, Collins and Simmo in the middle. The rest fringe players, triallists and under 18s.

 

David Kennedy gave us the lead, heading in a corner at the near post. Paul Carr scored a pen for them, but barely a minute later Nathan's given us the lead blasting in from a tight angle. He then scored the third, heading in a deep cross from Collins. Collins and Elder clearly the class of the match in my opinion. After that just cruise control really - Nathan hit the post, Collins, Drake, Axcell and Colton all missed opportunities of varying degrees of difficulty.

Not a bad match. Definately agree with Simon that Nathan and Collins were the class of the match but there was some great football played in the first half...Second half just was, as he said cruise control....Then again, with the team being mostly Under 18's you can't praise 'em enough for their effort at a level of football which should be higher than they usually play. With a bit more encouragement, we may have some very good players for the future.

Was not a bad set up Brentwood had either. Nice pitch and clubhouse. To be fair there was only one team on the night that was going to win. Not a slight on Brentwood but just by the amount of chances that were being created each time we came forward. Some nice football played, and i think the speed of the game just caught Brentwood out.
