The fans were treated to a pretty dreary first half against Hendon in which the only highlight was a goal from Will Dunlop with a powerful header. Things picked up after the break with much better football being played on a very difficult playing surface. On the hour, Dunlop broke up play in the WEFC half, and fed a pass to Coyney who put in a great through ball to Omar Maqsood who had timed his run behind the Hendon defence and then finished with a fantastic lob over the keeper from some distance out. Dan Sacha had two fine left-footed efforts kept out by excellent saves before a long ball out of defence found Maqsood who repeated his earlier effort with, perhaps, an even more difficult lob over the keeper to make it 3 - 0. Decent second half performance after a bland first 45 mins. Back three were, again, very solid, and Maqsood displayed impressive skills and two top-class finishes. Next up are top of the table Salisbury, at home next Wednesday.

Gardiner; Elford; Taylor-Ives; Dunlop; Blatchford; Coyne; Sacha; Maqsood; D.Case (Ramaen 75); J.Case (Abbott 60) Morris. Unused Sub : Turner.

See Dave Mudge was at the game again last night, possibly eyeing up a couple of lads for his squad, why wasnt DG or DC looking at these matches they might see players from the oppasition that could be talked to moving to WEFC, cant see why Omar is not in squad of WEFC looks a decent player and scored two cracking goals last night. Wonder how many of Hendon 1st team played last night since they beat us last week with most of their squad playing. Two to play and 6 points to play for must put us near to top three which is an excellent performance with the squad changed every time they turn out,Back four looked solid with Will leading them , keepers kicking improved over the past few games and shows promis, Omar And Coyne looked class and rest of them gave a good team performance but could and should have had more goals. Excellent corners delivered but not taken advantage of in the 6 yard box. See how they perform against SC league leaders next week.
