Entertaining Second Half! Case showed effort and worked hard and it payed off in the end. Why he's playing in the ressies is beyond me.

Been good fun watching them this season with alot of young local players. If you havn't been before come down next game/season and support the club!

Reserves played last night against league leaders, Salisbury City, who have won the league by some distance. The strength of the opposition was obvious from the start and presented a tough test for some of the young WEFC players. After a slow start, WEFC coped pretty well with what Salisbury had to offer, and still managed to create a few chances of their own. At the start of the second half, the visitors stepped up another gear and WEFC were forced to change to a 4-4-2 to keep them at bay. After 70 minutes, the WEFC defence was finally breached and all looked lost but a big team effort in the last ten minutes produced an equaliser from Omar Maqsood who smashed a volley into the top corner after a goalmouth scramble.

Overall, against the best side in the league, the ressies performance was excellent. The workrate was fantastic and it was a point well-earned. Iain Gardiner produced two great saves to keep WEFC in the game in the second half, and Richard Sanford and Will Dunlop were superb all through the game, along with Daryl Elford in the back three. The whole team defended well, and it was a very satisfactory evening. Last game is at home to Chesham on Tuesday week, May 2nd.

Team: Morris (Gardiner 45),Elford (Abbott 65);Sanford;Dunlop;Blatchford;Sacha;Coyne(Turner 80);Maqsood;D.Case,J.Case,Woodcraft (Morris 45)
