I have just received a PM telling me to "pipe down". It seems that those bleating about free speech take exception to anyone offering opposing views. Should I be surprised? It has been this way since Adam was a lad.

 

I realise this may be better posted in the General Forum but as it relates to the happenings in this Forum I hope the post can stay here.

I am sending myself this reply so that I do not offend anyone (except maybe myself!)

 

I hope that when the truth prevails and the beans are spilled, large portions of "humble pie" will be available in the bar. Maybe accompanied by a good dollop of "apologies".

 

It is sad that some friendships have been strained. However, with friendship should also come trust. Words once uttered cannot be revoked.
