well. 2 down afta 10 minutes.then tilbs got sent of for a stamp.scores level at half time after chennels and tanfield had scored.they scored a penalty and then got a fourth.paul reed was carried of on a stretcher before coyne hit a deflected free kick in and they scored a fifth on the end.even with 10 men we battled well and looked the better side for vast spells in the second half.however had their strikers been able to shoot it could have been over by half time.the defence looked shaky and was all over the place at times.fitness levels of the players look very good as case tanfield and chennels worked their socks of for the entire game.lets take the positives from todays game and concentrate on them.

totally agree with that post matt, thought it was a really good performance no one let the sidw down apart from tilbs, and we even looked better with a midfielder(dolan) back there. thought chennels and casey ran there socks off all day. all in all happy about the gutsy performance, you can never win the league on the first day remember.

yeah that was a welcome change from the way that most of them used to trudge off at the end of last season.

the season is 41 games long. forget game 1 now for game 2.........

I would have to say that turning up and finding we are 2-0 down and then seeing Tilbs sent off (no need to comment on that I think we all feel same way about what happended there)I wasn't very encouraged. But then I saw something I hadn't seen at Windsor for a while. A little bit of spirit, a desire to win and play football.

If we had had 11 men in the second half we would have won, we could have at least got a draw but ultimately didn't. I hope the players can take the positives from the game and take them onto the park on Tuesday, play like they did in the second half and give us something to really cheer about.

Probably haven't had that sort of support behind the goal for a while and I think the way we sang to the end is a reflection of the way the players tried to the end.

Roll on Tuesday and our first win and a 100% home record, now that would be nice. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/afro.gif" alt="" />
