I disagree with Hartsdownfan's comment at the main reason the club are doing well is because they have local players who have put there heart and sould into the club where with Margate the majority of the players have only put in the heart. Had Margate had the players Ramsgate have got a few years ago it will be exactley the same and if we were in the Ryman premier a few years ago, but we were enjoying Conference football, which is 100 times better then the Ryman.

agree Alex but then we had 1 or 2 local lads in the squad ourselves then, so we had the heart and the soul as you put it and if you`ve got that who needs money , team spirit will take you alot further than any amount of money , but again ( it helps ) . Munday , Lamb , Edwards , Pulman , Beard , Collins etc, ok may not be total local but heart & soul got us to the Conferance .

The lads we have got now are all quality players and they will take us back to were we should rightfully be , but it may take a little more soul like you said yourself to do it .
