Things we learnt tonight OFF the pitch

1.Kieran likes going up behind men put his hands on their shoulders and........even after they have made reference to his vaseline.

 

2. June likes them young and soft although she did accept an upright one from Keith Piper.

 

3. Alan DIDN'T buy me that bloody cup of tea as promised.

 

4. The choir CAN sing at any game....good for you lads. (but NO drum)

 

5. Ryan was having trouble with the baps of the young lady who was helping him in the tea hut.

 

6. Cookie your timing in the half time break was billiant...we mentioned your name and you appeared....scarey.

 

7. WHY was I given a plastic cup wih my beer when everyone else was given glass......thanks Dave!!!

 

8. NO none of you lot can be in the NON RIFF RAFF team at the quiz.

 

9. The ref did have several Graham Poll moments he was that [****!!****].(plus he drinks shadies in the bar the whoosy)

That comment was based on one 7 a side tournament Dave and I took part in during 1978 when we put in a team with one weeks notice and never played before. Despite Dave's comments (not about the Cambridge nurses) we did alright, won our group and went out to the eventual winners in the quarter finals.

 

That said playing club rugby I did pick up the name of "suicide" due to my style of play (I usually try taking out the biggest opposition player with or without the ball)but also collected a winners medal for the London League Championship.
