Byford was in goal. It was the first time I had seen the reserves so they were all new names to me. The scoreline flattered Bishops Stortford a little and they did have 7 first teamers in the lineup.

I know it is up to the club who they play but what the hell is the point of a reserve team when you play 7 first teamers?!

Martin Hayes wanted to see them all ahead of the Christmas sales.

 

Stortford are also probably still smarting after losing the league fixture at Haringey recently, when they played predominantly trialists. They don't have a reserve side as such.

 

They also take the competition seriously, especially in terms of doing better that AFCH!
