If you do happen to visit the Czech Republic in the near future, then you will find Prague to be a wonderful place. However, don't take travellers' cheques as very few outlets, even banks, don't want to change them. If you do find a change outlet which will change them, then you will be lucky. Unfortunately you will also lose a considerable amount on the exchange rate.

 

Don't be surprised when you leave a change outlet if a shady character comes up to you asking if you want to buy some money! Just say no. However, he will follow you for a while.

 

We had a wonderful time but just remember the above.
