Starting XI Vs Horsham

The friendlies are over and we've had a chance to see who fits in where. The excitment is growing to a climax and I can't wait for Saturday. Starting XI I'd go with is:

------------------- Wiseman ---------------------

------- West ------- Moore ------- Patten -------

- Gordon - Mustafa - Dobinson - Lee - Fanibuyan -

------------- Antoine ------ Luck ---------------

SUBS: Mel, Crow, Halle, Edwards, J. Curran.

Oliva would replace Crow on the bench if he wasn't suspended.

Any advances on that line-up?

Both have worked during pre-season.

The first two goals against East Thurrock were scored with 1 up front, and then with Lucky coming on and us going two up front he managed to get his hat-trick.

Again yesterday, with two up front we managed to score four goals.

I personally don't like playing 1 up front at home unless we're against far superior opposition. However I do believe that there will be times this season when we're away from home that this formation will be required.

Like the look of that, although i would prefer Mel in goal.
Don't like just the one up front, although i guess there will be times when we need that formation.

having seen horsham play last season and I think if they carry on their form from last season they will be a good attacking side and to be on the safe side I would pick 4 at the back just to be on the safe side so I think glens formation would be right against them

I would play 4-4-2.. We looked far more dangerous and compact using that formation. Plus the pace we have with Lucky & Antoine has to be used.. Also for me Mel has to play in goal, his experience will be a big plus..

-------------------- Capleton --------------------

-- Mustafa ------- Moore (Capt) ---- Patten ---- West --

- Gordon ------ Dobinson - Halle ------Fanibuyan ---

----------- Antoine -------Luck-------------------

Subs: Wiseman, Davidson, Edwards, Corbell,J Curran

That's my team for the first game, it would change if Oliva & Lee were avalible for the first game..

Westy looked comfortable playing left back so i would move him into that position for the Horsham game and play Mustafa Right Back..

Can't wait for Saturday, there is no doubt it will be a tough opening game..

Earlier this week I suggested that Sutton United were blowing their beans on players in an attempt to win promotion from the Ryman Premier League for 2008/09.

Having now heard that a currently homeless Ryman Premier club are offering some of their players

If both Lee and Oliva are unavailable i would go for:-

-------------------Capleton------------------

---------------Halle------Moore--------- Patten-----------------

Gordon---------------------------------------------------Fanibyun

----------------Edwards------Dobinson------Mustafa---------------

----------------------Antoine------Luck--------------------------

Subs, Wiseman, Crow, West, Curran, Corbell.

Very attacking lets go for the jugular from the start.
