Saturday 3rd March (Fixtures and Results)

Recommended Posts

I was at the game saturday and have to agree with Latchford this could have easy turned down a road no one wants it to!

The whistle went before the St Mags forward headed home....3 defenders and the keeper either stopped or were put off by the whistle!

St Mags were good value for the half time lead and maybe it should have been 3 or 4 but credit where credit is due and RT came flying out of the blocks 2nd half!

The penalty was very soft and after that the game went ti*ts up! Never a sending off for the RT midfielder who won the ball with a massive challenge...ref didnt even blow up but the ball went out of play and then the ref sent him off!

The worst sending off of the lot was the St Mags forward who was being kicked off the ball in the run up....the RT defender had hold off him all the time with the forward pushing him away only to be sent off!

Like i said there was a crowd of people waiting to air views to the official at the exit of the pitch but PTG said never of interest was mentioned!

By all accounts this isnt the worst ref ive seen this season!

I was referring to all the verbal abuse that was directed in our direction which we ignored.

What is always me?

People who were at the match have stated their opinions on incidents.

Where is my name mentioned in these incidents?

Both managers came into our dressing room after the match to discuss some aspects of the game and none of these involved me.

As I have stated elsewhere, I do not believe I made any errors and nor did the Assessor.

The incidents described on this forum relate to decisions that the Referee made.

I have out of courtesy described what I saw and heard regarding the controversial St Margaretsbury goal by giving an honest opinion. Unlike you, I don't hide behind a keyboard.

At least I have the guts to go to games and do a job to the best of my ability which is often open to criticism.

What is your excuse for not attending games?

btw If I make errors, especially game changing mistakes, I am the first to hold my hands up and apologize.

In PTG's defence most of the incidents were up the other end of the pitch from him, the only one near him was the centre halfs sending off which the ref dealt with.

Thank you for clearing that up. Maybe Rhodes wont be so quick to judge next time but I doubt it.

I have no problem in answering questions on this forum on general match incidents but I am restricted on what I can say when it is a game involving me.

That is not because I wish to be evasive but because certain things I cannot comment due to restrictions from the FA.

OK Cliff, I was feeling generous yesterday and let you have your little usual snipe at PTG. Only sensible stuff today or it won't appear. Oh and nor will any snidey posts made about me for this comment so don't waste your time. In fact if you do make a snidey comment about anyone I'll just delete everything for the day and see if I wake up in a different mood tomorrow.... :D

Just saw the picture of the referee and the linesman (not PTG) for this game. The ref is a poor one many times I have seen him in action and for all the will in the world the other linesman will never keep up with play not even at Step 7 level. Maybe there is not enough officials but the process for qualifications is so slow that it will probably take a few years yet before that man can retire
