Will probably be up s**t creek as there's a match ono. Anyone intending to travel by train is advised to leave now, bring a skateboard in case things get delayed, along with a multiple choice list of excuses that your friendly Connex guard can point to as the train trundles backwards towards Hither Green for no apparent reason.

Know you any different Daz...?

Dave, what time will you be knocking of work this afternoon? Also which mode of transportation do you think will be most effective in beating the rush hour traffic?

I've booked to leave work at 4:30 so there will be time to swim down the Thames if necessary.

Hopefully better than before the last Tuesday game against Aldershot when a train hit a bike on the track near Lewisham!

Tell me about it, I'm sitting on the train with two shots fans.

When we eventually limp in Dartford, the driver decides he's had enough and they terminated the train.

I'm thinking of leaving now.
Walking the DLR route due to unforseen difficulties, discovering that a badger has eaten the signal box at Lewisham, cab to Woolwich, 96 bus to Dartford, air ambulance to Northfleet, just in time to see Macca hit the winning penalty.

Have no fear because I'm here!

At work, that is.....

.....so things shouldn't be that bad tonight as I rarely cop the crap!

However, I did try my best to get out of this shi(f)t but alas I'll be missing the game.

If anything goes wrong I'll make a post here.....

The CWU (Communication Workers? Union), for saw last Saturdays 0-0 draw and have conveniently come out on strike in parts of Kent and West and Central London. Making tonights game a entertaining diversion from picket duty, and an unexpected, if unpaid holiday.

Any chance of some financial aid from Victor Gladwish?

Means nothing mate. It's usually about 5.00 when it all goes belly up. And you know we hold you personally responsible. Pity you're going to miss our triumph tonight. Still someone has to work!!!

The time it goes 'belly up' varies greatly.

However - it normally happens before I get to work or after I've gone.

Only on the odd ocassion does the 'event' commence whilst I am on duty.

16.40 and still running ok.....

Well, the 1808 from Charing X made it to Northfleet ok, albeit 5 minutes or so late, but still in plenty of time for the game.

So Daz does the job again.

Mind you, I bet you, like many of the rest of us, you'll be off sick tomorrow SD, either from a hangover from celebrating, or recovering from heart palpitations !!

I was tempted to go sick for the game but it would have been far too obvious!
