Having a quick look around at entry prices for the league this year and whilst most club are between £12-15 This year, Woking are charging £18 adults and £13 concessions!!!

I’m guessing they’ve not lowered prices from last season then? I think that’s out of order to be relegated and in effect lessen the quality of product but charge the same!

Probably encourages all their supporters to buy season tickets at £180..... is the extra £5 on the gate price really going to discourage many away fans? Most might not even realise until they arrive.

Curtis Their early bird season was 150 showing a saving of just short of £11 per game so I'm sure you're correct and that encouraged season ticket sales

I'd also like to think it will encourage away supporters to keep their money in their pockets and not buy programmes, golden goal tickets etc.

Who buys a programme these days anyway? It’s been a dying breed for years and now it’s not compulsory in the FL it’s a matter of time before they disappear completely. Everyone you’d read in there is available online which the vast majority have access to these days.

The norm years ago was around a third of the crowd bought one, I bet it’s a lot lower now. There’s probably only a few pages that you couldn’t find online.

I always buy a programme & feel cheated if I can't get one. It's a reference point during the game for me.

Be interested to see what percentage of our crowd bought one, would be surprised if it was more than 25%. I’m sure the PL and the top non leagues will follow suit though and not demand programmes are a necessity.

A number of teams in our league last year did produce a program which you downloaded and printed off contained everything a conventional one did but free of charge! IMO that's the way things will go

Yes you’re right that’s becoming a common theme.

In June at the FA AGM there was a motion about printing of Programmes as at present it was mandatory for Clubs to produce Programmes.

A change of this was put forward to not make it Mandatory.

Does anyone know if this change was carried.

Personally I've always bought a home programme because I've found ours to be a good read/value for money.

 

Conversely I've stopped buying away programmes pure because I've found them to be devoid of any decent reading material and not good value for money.

Back on the ticket prices, this was the bbc report for the price of football for the 17/18 season.

£18 would have got you into most league 2 matches and some league 1.

There own fans are embarrassed and they are asking for the club to reduce the entry cost to £15.

Club have now confirmed pricing as £15 for adults and £12 concessions, £5 for students and children
