Tonights Echo says we are trying to sign Stuart Bimson who plays leftback. He was released by Cambridge Utd last season but after training with them pre-season he has now been offered another contract by them.

Looked usefull in the 45mins he played at Bishop stortford. Wasnt afraid of getting stuck into a tackle.

Agreed, he looked good against Stortford, a real no-nonsense defender who wins the ball well and isn't afraid to run with it.

Hopefully he'll get a run out today against Thurrock. He is a player with plenty of experience and has seen it and done it at league level.

BTW, I thought he looked strong and worked the left well, I even heard him having a pop at Minton I think about pussying around, that I liked, we do tend to fool around in midfield far too often...which allows the oppo to muster their defence..

Was once again very impressesd by bimsons performance. At 35 he has alot of experiance and that can only be a good thing, other defenders will hopefully learn of off him.

As for the trialist striker in the second half, I know it sounds a bit strange but if you do know who he is PLEASE DONT mention his name on here, there is a reason behind this.

Thanx Wayne - I didnt get to the start of the game yesterday, so I didnt hear the announcement,I dont want to down Richard but I tend not to believe anything regarding the club until I see it on the official website - Wayne why dont you get some help loading the info onto the page - perhaps the club understands the hard work the banned three put into running an excellent and far more superior website that was sadly closed.

As C.i.f.cislander said, please don't mention his name. I've said in the past about players we have had snatched away, after messages on here announced their availability. Lets do what we can to help the management team get the players they want.

It might help the club by keeping his name off the forum but when they name him in the Echo match report it seems pointless.
