I'm not going to be able to make Thursday's meeting. Will the minutes be posted on here afterwards, so I can get an accurate view of what I'll miss?

Should be OK. Been able to put weight on my foot today and almost walking normally now.

Thanks for the offer though.

Have had a lump come up on the base of my foot which got infected and made it impossible to walk on. Luckily seems to be healing now but still on anti-biotics meaning I can't drink any alcohol!!!

She already has!!! They serve Greene King IPA now as it's a cheaper option I think.

How was the trip to Germany?

A little piece, for anyone that hasn't seen the Echo today...

Football: New lease of life for Canvey

Canvey Island Football Club supporters are tonight likely to receive the welcome news that their future is finally in their own hands.

When manager and owner Jeff King quit the club for Chelmsford City he agreed to pass on the Park Lane lease to representatives of the fans, who are effectively running the club now.

The legal paper work completing the lease tranfer is now believed to have been carried out and that is likely to be confirmed when the supporters hold an open meeting, open to all fans, at the clubhouse from 8pm tonight.

It was superb! So many stories, I'll save them for tonight. Should be some photos there as well!

Made it to Ukraine v Switzerland in Cologne, game wasn't great but the atmosphere was something else!

That game was appalling!!! The crowd were something else though. Liked the way that Swiss player (Magnin I think)was trying to get the crowd going.

Very positive meeting last night and everything now looks in place for us to get on with the coming season and our future beyond that.

A new Board of six and after reading the statement on the official site it looks as if everything is ready to kick-off in time for the players' return for pre-season next week!

I was just a bit perplexed as to why they didn't announce any more to do with the squad. Presumably we've got a squad, given they're back for pre-season training next week.
