Canvey were really awesome today.

 

What was total of monies raised for Candy today, anyone have the figures??

About £1060 so far Pilgrim. Don't know the result of the Auction though.

 

Canvey played football today that could only be described as 'sexy'.

I was expecting a lot more from St Albans today but they must have been shell-shocked from the first five minutes and did not recover. All the lads played well and were really up for it. Must give a mention to Parms as I would have had him as man of the match today after such an injury ravaged season, and what a goal.

It’s all still to play for and on Tuesday we will hopefully close the gap by three points.

Have to agree with you there Merv, that display was positively XXX rated.

What topped it all, the referee wasn't the worst but he certainly leaned toward St Albans with the decisions and we still had them running around like headless chickens for good periods. The players were a total unit today and didn't they enjoy it. To top it all, there could have been many more goals for us too, the goal posts were kept very busy along with their keeper.

Sorry for the delay on my part - I had a lens fail on me on Saturday, and sadly my new lens was sitting in a couriers depot in Witham - anyway a few pics are on the match report page - nothing spectacular - but at least it adds a few extra memories.
