Manager Resigns

Matt Beard resigned as Colliers Wood United manager last night.

Reserve team manager, Mark Douglas, has been put in temporary charge for the visit of Reading Town on Saturday.

Now who was it that predicted on here a few weeks ago there was to be a managerial resignation ??

He cited work and other commitments.

He did say that he found it difficult working at this level and I know he was frustrated re availability at training and on match days.

He is keen to manage at a higher level.

It will certainly be a little quieter at Woods games!!!

There has been some interest already.

So if a manager cant do it at the level he is at, what makes him think that higher level clubs will be interested? I know Beardy for a few years and was surprised to hear he had resigned. This is the same reason he left Farnham.
