The Great Eckscape
Yeah, a typical Boylan finish, classy as always. Went to the match, not the greatest game I've ever been to, and not much in the way of atmosphere. The last two finals at Wembley have been good, but this one lacked that cup final feeling. Also, check out this page in the programme from the Ref (excuse the statistical errors)...

The Great Eckscape
Yeah, I thought the officials had a really good game, no controversy at all.

The Great Eckscape
Lee has just been released by Stevenage: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/12012011/63/boylan-leaving-boro.html Cue the remarkable return?! Lee Boylan has left Stevenage after his contract expired. The 32-year-old striker played 76 times for Boro after joining from Cambridge in 2008, scoring 23 goals, but he was restricted to just two appearances this season due to injury. Boylan started his career with West Ham and has played for a number of clubs during his career including Exeter and Canvey Island. His successful spell at Canvey Island saw him hit 135 goals in 157 appearances. Canvey Fan 1926

Matt H
I've also been looking back over the old website recently to look at players that have played against the "old" Canvey and for which team A few interesting ones in there that have played for us since reforming... 1999/2000 Season: Colin Wall and Dave Kreyling - Heybridge Swifts Danny Curran - Purfleet (now Thurrock) Danny Kerrigan - Southend Utd Chris Moore and Matt Game - Billericay Town 2000/2001 Season: David Lee - Southend Utd Chris Moore - Billericay Town Richard Halle - Barking Colin Wall - Heybridge Swifts 2001/2002 Season: Dave Kreyling - Heybridge Swifts/Braintree Town Richard Halle - Grays Athletic Craig Davidson - Braintree Town Kevin Dobinson - Chelmsford City 2002/2003 Season: Mel Capleton - Grays Athletic Danny Curran - Aveley Dave Kreyling - Heybridge Swifts Colin Wall - Bishop's Stortford Chris Bourne - Southend Manor Would try and get a more recent look at things, but the "Official" site from previous seasons before our reformation look to be lost in history...
