I'm not sure what happened to the other Broxbourne Borough thread but did anyone see the article from Chairman Peter Harris on the Non League Today Website, it seems like the Club are going in the right direction:

I see that Broxbourne Borough have appointed Graham Dodd as their new Director of Football, I thought Director's of Football were a dieing breed as what does the title actually mean or represent:

I note that Broxbourne Borough have firmed up a groundshare with London Lions for the next two seasons following last Saturday's AGM:

Peter Harris, chairman of Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division club Broxbourne Borough, has confirmed to nonleaguedaily that he has signed a groundshare deal for the next two years with last season`s Herts County League promotion winners London Maccabi Lions.

It was confirmed at Saturday`s Spartan South Midlands League AGM that the Lions will be competing at Step 6 level in Division One for 2010/11.

Harris (pictured) said that a warm welcome awaits a club who are extremely well organised both on and off the field - Maccabi Lions embrace in excess of twenty sides out from their current Barnet venue.

Harris sealed the deal in conjunction with the Macabbi chairman Adam Solomons and it was one that already sees all parties get on extremely well and a firm bond between them already established after a lengthy period of negotiation.

Originally Boro were to have ran a reserve side of their own on a Saturday, but this idea was scrapped once the deal with Lions came about.

Congratulations to Broxbourne Borough for securing a sponsorship deal with the Ripped Gym Company of Harlow, I'm assuming it will allow everyone at Goffs Lane free or discounted gym and health spa facilities:

Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division club Broxbourne Borough and current SSML Challenge Trophy holders have secured a major new sponsorship deal for the forthcoming campaign.

A delighted manager Mark Beels confirmed the deal as being “highly significant” and the building of a partnership with the Ripped Gym Company of Harlow, Essex - a successful gym and health spa operation - with great potential to grow the business still further via links with the Hertfordshire side that are very much of the win/win situation.

Beels (above) wished to place on record the co-operation afforded to him by Mark Hendy, the managing director of Ripped Gym, and the fact that both parties were “singing from the same hymn sheet”.

Beels said: “The link up through Mark Hendy's companies has afforded us the chance to fully kit out our players with high quality Puma wear.”

In his first full season in the Goffs Lane hot-seat, UEFA qualified coach Beels said that even in these dire financial times, good deals can still be found amongst like minded people.

Cub chairman Peter Harris warmly praised the manner in which this and other top quality opportunities had been secured by a very much "hands on" manager.

Beels finalised by saying: “The management structure has been put in place, having secured the services of Kevin Wakeling as my assistant and Tommy Munt as first-team coach.

Graham Dodd will be director of football, whilst Reg Kemble would continue as of now helping in so many and varied ways towards the club cause on a daily basis.

There has apparently been 'massive progression behind the scenes' at Goffs Lane of late:

I see Mark Beels and Broxbourne Borough are all over the Non League Today website like a rash again, you have to give him ten, sorry, eleven out of ten for enthusiasm:

http://www.nonleague...=FULL&nid=69444

Mark Beels, manager of Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division club Broxbourne Borough, has responded in the most positive of manner to his team`s poor start to the campaign.

Ahead of the weekend`s mouth-watering Goffs Lane FA Cup tie with Royston Town much hard work has gone in behind the scenes to bring players to Boro with proven track records at higher levels.

The Boro manager confirmed to nonleaguedaily that, in addition to the players who have signed already, others would come into contention for the game against Royston or for the local derby at St Margaretsbury next Tuesday.

Beels said: “Negotiations are ongoing with a well-known local striker who last term played in the Ryman Premier and if these prove to be successfully concluded before the weekend, he would go straight into Saturday`s squad.”

The positive stance taken by Beels sees striker Chris Ellerbeck (right) check in at Broxbourne. Ellerbeck is a renowned goalscorer formerly with Ware and Harlow Town in the Ryman League and will look to be an instant hit with the Goffs Lane faithfull.

Midfield steel and creativity will be provided by Daryl Mitchell (above), now free from suspension for the first time this season. His guile and craft will be a massive plus to a Boro outfit looking to push on.

Also in line is former Ware and Cheshunt midfielder Paul Burton, while in a bid to strengthen in the back line Beels has signed Dave Blower, a full-back or central defender who has been released by Ryman League Enfield Town. Blower again has a proven track record.

Also signed within the last 24 hours is Daniel Williams - a young player who has impressed in several training sessions having latterly been released by Wealdstone.
