For any neutral in the ground last night it must have been the best match seen for ages, it really was that good.

For me the best player on the pitch was the Concord keeper, but a rampant Romford side that included 2 ex premiership players, and I believe an ex England international was just to strong.

We were awful 1st half but showed some balls 2nd half deserving a share of the points.

My observations of the match are different as you would expect.

 

The first half it was all Romford and we probably would have gone in 5 nil up but for some great saves from your goalkeeper. Most people at the match, including neutrals thought the sending off very harsh indeed, and the Concord player that brought down the Romford striker should have received a straight red, no question.

 

The second half Concord improved slightly buoyed on by a 1 man advantage, but a resolute Romford defence held on without to many problems caused by a team that seems to prefer the theatricals to actually playing the kind of football they are no doubt capable of.

 

The guy that got sent off is certainly no thug, but he is a very talented footballer, and I thought Romford worthy winners.

 

One thing I think we can agree on is, it was one hell of a contest and well worth the admission fee.

Your definitely spot on about the poor decisions by referees at this level, as you will probably find out next season.
