ARSENAL LADIES v GHANA

Pre-Season Friendly

Thursday 31st July 2003, kick-off 4pm

 

We are sorry to inform you that the Ladies game versus the Ghana International Team on Thurs 31st July is now cancelled due to them experiencing travel and flight problems, and being unable to arrive in the country in time.

 

However the ladies will still be parading the FA CUP during the Mens friendly match versus St Albans, from 7pm onwards, for people to have the chance to have their photo taken with the historic trophy.

 

So much for that idea then. Never mind. There's always next season.

There's nothing funny about any of it, ESG, but you may be interested to hear that 64 players from Nigeria were accepted for the pre-qualifying rounds for the British Open [golf] tournament. They all caught their plane from wherever in Nigeria but only 4 appeared on the first tee at the relevant golf courses.

The F.A.Cup on display last night was not an "historic trophy" but is, in fact, only 11 years old and is a replica of the famous old tin cup.
