It was number 1, then the next week dropped to number 74, then climbed to 17, then swerved sideways into the speedway charts (2nd row, inside track), then took pole position at Monaco, got a place in the elite runners section in the Boston marathon, won king of the mountains in the tour de france then opened the batting for Sussex ?

That's close enough, I didn't realise how hard a question it was at the time.

If you wanted the correct answer it would have been 'Biggest drop from an album debuting at number one in the charts.' (It ended at number 38 the next week I think.).

Right - 7-Up...

 

Doesn't come from the number of ingredients, or from the number of letters in the name SEVEN UP, nor from the founder seeing a cattle brand (The number 7 with a U above it), nor from him winning stacks of money on 'craps' by rolling sevens....

 

I was under the impression it was due to it being orignally sold in 7 oz bottles - but someone has since told me that lots of drinks from that time were....

 

So, I bollixed it up, sorry lads........
