Ref Off Ref - Your son didn't play that much under Steve Orchard did he and made Darren 'Sicknote' Anderton look like Frank Lampard who played in 164 consecutive games for Chelsea between October 2001 and December 2005

I see the "excellent" steve orchard has left, I thought he was going to last till Christmas, I think it's time he took up a different sport, he never even played at a good level of football.......... Good luck orchard in your quest to ruin another team!!!!

To be fair I think Ref Off Ref's son was still very wet behind the ears at New Bradwell St Peter and has since come on leaps and bounds

Rhodes when Tom Played for Bradwell he done very well indeed and was the best young keeper in MK at the time but if you dislocate your shoulder 3 times it some what limits your appearances. Tom's recovery is Craigs Gain.

Cheers Adie, nice words mate, mind you what does Rhodes know anyway, all I ask if their is a God he can have a few injury free seasons and get back up there where he once was....mind you Mooney's bruv smashing him in the rib cage today certainly helped LOL.

Anyway, how these threads get distracted, so back to the original thread of 'Will SSTFC win a game this season?', well now we all know, but who would have put money on them beating the previously unbeaten Hoddeson Town 2-1, whether Hoddy only had 7 players, the Ref was bent, or both goals symboled the 'Hand of God', the result will still read Stony Stratford 2 v 1 Hoddeson Town.....question answered, though I guess Rhodes will come up with some complete b*****ks just to distract us from what this thread is all about.

what has he done to deserve this

Don't you mean what hasn't he done, Steve Orchard is a class act and will soon turn Stony Stratford Town's fortunes around

Rhodes.....what a plank, i have nothing against Steve Orchard and am saddened it didn't work out for him at Stony, my point to this though is know your threads, know where you are coming from.

You are basking him, or was, as the messiah at Stony, but you forget when you was at the helm of Kentish Town in their rise to the top a few years back, manager, coach, fund raiser who pocketed the proceeds, grass cutter, bog cleaner, Lee Scott's saviour, that within that season when you went to the 'hallowed turf' of the Rec at New Bradwell and demolished them 6-0 (Bradwell without a recognised keeper and Scotty not scoring), remember, the threads were hot about it, it replaced your porn mags in the secret trap of your public lav in London......who was the manager of New Bradwell on that fateful day, no not you, not Sven, not Mickey fkin Mouse, yes my friend, it was him, YOUR messiah.....tut tut tut

Orchard leaves and tthey win, what does that tell you......

Steve Orchard is best out of it at Stony Stratford, he was a square peg in a round hole and you have to be a certain kind of Manager at Ostlers Lane such as Craig Connell for example, a far more suitable appointment will come up for him soon and New Bradwell St Peter would do a lot worse than asking, sorry, begging him to return like the Prodigal Son

it might help if he could get players but no one mk based wants to .

Champ - What do you and Hmmm actually have against Steve Orchard, that's what I fail to understand, he worked miracles at New Bradwell St Peter on a shoe string budget and was chief cook and bottle washer yet never complained once and just got on with it

If they were his credentials at New Bradwell then no wonder he struggled this term at Stony Stratford cheesy%20(2).gif

Ref Off Ref - If you cast your mind back, Steve Orchard was desparately unlucky not to take New Bradwell St Peter to the promised land in the legendary 2007/2008 campaign. The small squad he had at his disposal were out on their feet in April and would have been promoted with Kentish Town had they won at Stony Stratford and Sport London e Benfica, beaten Buckingham Athletic instead of drawing 0-0 at Stratford Fields and drawn with Haringey Borough at home instead of losing 1-0, according to my calculations they would have gone up on goal difference. As for the evening game at Hoddesdon that season it is cemented in non league football folklore the way Steve rallied his brave troops to equalise with the last kick of the proceedings:

i have nothing against the bloke even though he tries to nick some of my players thats football . but as for miracles are you sure you are not getting him mixed upwith tucker and when he did have a half decent side they were all tuckers players . when he left not one player followed him to his new club what does that tell you .

I have just as much time, if not more so, for Steve Tucker as I do for Steve Orchard but I'm not mixing the two of them up. Strangely both their respective tenure's at New Bradwell St Peter were mirror images and had they not been chief cook and bottle washers and been allowed bigger squads then I'm sure one of them would have got the Club into the Premier Division, ground grading permitting.

So what you're saying is had we beaten Stony Stratford and Benfica, whipped Buckingham and defended like hell for a draw against Haringey we would have got 3, 6, another say 24 points and sneaked it, possibily....fact is we didn't, weren't good enough, came 6th, history, done and dusted.

Oh and that game cemented in Non League folklore history, nothing to do with Mr.Orchard....Dean Robb scored it LOL.

As for Kentish reaching the promised land.....the only thing they promised themselves was to boot you Cliff, and they did :bigcry:
