Tonight's Result

Was a scrappy game all round really, Basingstoke were the better side in the first half and opened the scoring when Brownie and Richard left a ball for each other and the striker nipped in and scored. They had a goal disallowed for offside and Richard pulled off a couple of decent saves. We also had a goal disallowed for an apparent tug by Migs as their defender and keeper collided leaving Tomlinson with a tap in. HT 0-1.

Second half we played a bit better, had a little more urgency. Equalised when Gledhill, who had a good game, swung in a vicious cross and their No.6 could only send a diving header into his own net under pressure from Migs. Both sides huffed and puffed without ever threatening to take control. A few contentious offside decisions stopped us in our tracks going forward, but probably just about a deserved point.

Perfect played at Hitchin in the HCC and is a left sided defender/midfielder from the reserves I think, HKS can no doubt confirm.

What do you mean 'fast becoming a donkey'? He has always been a donkey and is fast becoming a slow donkey. He is a liability as the statistics from when he played last season prove. It is about time Cooky got a decent central defender to go with Corey and Seeby!
