New Bradwell St Peter V Berkhamsted - Postponed -

One of the floodlights has decided to stop working. 3 hours work by the electrician tonight but no joy

Isn't this the second time in as many weeks??

Has somebody forgot to put 50p in the meter at New Bradwell??

Yes and No

Yes as we have had power issues but this was due to Eon installing a Industrial generator to serve the local area due to cabling issues. And in their wisdom they did not fill it up with Diesel regulary so as soon as it run out all the lcoal area including us lost power. Once people reporting the power cut they went and filled it up......... Lasted for two weeks. Resulting in one postponed reserve game as it cut off before kick off and once abandoned Youth team game as it went out after 82 minutes

No

Seperate issue this time that is physically with our lights probably caused by the recent high winds

Wednesday 9 February

Division One

1 4 Wodson Park v London Lions

30

A report from another's Forum:

Wodson Park (0) 1, London Lions (1) 4

Spartan South Midlands League Division One,

Attendance 30

Admission £4 including prog, Pint of Fosters £3.30 (safe to say I didn't bother!)

Frantic first half where the ball was more akin to a hot potatoe being passed around. The visiting Lions took the lead on 44 minutes, the impressive James Gershfield scoring his first of the night. The second half settled down a bit with Gershfield adding a second on 55. Anthony Anstead put Wodson back in the game ten minutes later but it was Gershfield claiming his hat trick with a clinical finish on 74 before Andy Glynne sealed an impressive 4-1 win for the visitors with ten minutes remaining. For Wodson, a poor performance with not a lot of luck on the night but I'm sure they'll come back with a better game at Ampthill Town on Saturday.
