Keith Hillier
Hi, my name is Keith Hillier. I was brought up in Feltham where I lived until migrating to Australia in 1968. My dad and I used to follow local clubs like Hounslow (Athenian League) and Feltham (Spartan League) as well my two professional clubs, Brentford and Spurs. Regarding the latter, I would visit my maternal grandmother who lived at Stamford Hill on a Saturday morning then head off to White Hart Lane in the afternoon. I will never forget the day Jimmy Greaves ran from half way beating 4 players in a 1-0 win against (I think) Southampton. Fond memories. On a recent return trip to England, I was saddened to learn that both Hounslow and Feltham no longer fielded teams, ( ) so I began looking for other local clubs discovering Staines, Hampton and Richmond and Hayes and Yeading. Since then I have been following their progress. Regards Keith

Keith Hillier
Thank-you for the information. Regarding Feltham, they used to have quite an impressive stadium at the back of Feltham Park, the Glebelands, I think. In 2010 I walked past it looking on its dilapidated state with disbelief. How could the local authorities allow such a fine piece of infrastructure to fall into disrepair. Sad!
