Keith B Posted October 25, 2012 Share Posted October 25, 2012 I was sorting out some paperwork in my bookcases the other day, so I could sort the rubbish from stuff I wanted to keep (old programmes, etc)., as well as looking for stuff for the club bookshop. Amongst it was the order of service from Ernie's funeral at Hanworth Crematorium which Liam and I (and dozens of others) were privileged to attend. I still have it and always will, but the anniversary of his passing will be 17th November, just three weeks away. An example of how time flies. I still miss his smiling face around the clubhouse and the annual commentary (all in good humour) about my increasing waistline. On that day we are due to play Godalming Town (with many former ATFC players) at home, many of whom will have known Ernie. The re-naming to Ernie's bar is a fitting tribute to the man.
