Query - Dual Contract Players In Non-League

Recommended Posts

How many players can a side (say at Step 6) bring in on dual contracts from step 3/4 sides in any one season?

Thanks

Do you mean dual registration? A contract player can only play for one club.

Each league can set the number of "dual registration" non-contraact players from higher leagues that a club can have (in any particular game), so you would have to check each league's rules. Some (like the Herts Senior County League) have no restriction, so, in theory, could field a whole tem of say, Wealdstone's non-contract players! Others limit the number to one, two or three for exmaple.

Interesting question, Adam !!

No mention of Sunday football in your query, perchance ?

A Step 6 side near me is considering looking at some players from nearby Step 4 sides, as they are trying to bring in some quality, but the secretary does not know what the limits are re: dual registrations as she cannot find any hard and fast laws.

She needs to ring the relevant County F.A.
